Mission
The mission is simple, we must identify, maintain, conserve, and preserve El Paso’s rich cultural historic identity.
Vision
A vision for geographically enabling our Historic EP Success
Historic EP
Historic EP is dedicated to the study, promotion, advancement, and celebration of the Mexican American culture, through the arts, culture, sports, humanities and traditions, as expressed in our unique one of a kind border region.
The El Paso, TX renaissance, is experiencing a cultural, economic, and social revolution, never seen before. It has been a long time coming. The True Pass to the North’s rebirth has been a collective effort on behalf of private citizens, companies, local and regional government entities, and stakeholders.
In the last 15 years, El Paso has seen unprecedented investments in downtown revitalization, infrastructure, and business investments along the I-10 corridor. Not to mention, a bond that is stronger than ever with Ciudad Juarez, MX its Sister City. We are excited for El Paso’s future – our future. However, as we revitalize, rebuild and renew, it is important more now than ever, too really grasp and take hold of our roots, culture, identity, and heritage.
As El Paso continues to slam its footprint into the world economy, and tries to re-establish itself on the Global map, we must nurture and cultivate El Paso’s beautiful historic cultural identity. El Paso del Norte has 337 years of rich history (beginning with the Ysleta Mission in 1680) – more than most cities in the United States of America can claim.
It is time to tell the world, this is who we are, we are Historic El Paso. Being the True Pass to the North, the mission is simple, we must identify, maintain, conserve, and preserve El Paso’s rich cultural historic identity.
El Paso, TX a tough city that defeated the arid Chihuahuan Desert. A Center of Commerce, the Largest International Metroplex in the World, that supports trade routes that are centuries old. A hub of Mexican-American identity and expression, of 3 states, 2 countries, one powerful Historic El Paso. A City not just upon a hill – but upon a mountain – the Franklin Mountains.
This is who we are. #HistoricElPaso
