Home of the Irish-American Mayor of El Paso between 1913-1915. Mayor Kelly had socialist speaker Lázaro Gutiérrez de Lara arrested when he tried to carry out an insurrecto parade in El Paso in April 1911. A month later Kelly escorted Pancho Villa back to the border when he had a few strong words with Giuseppe Garibaldi at the Sheldon Hotel.
